The infamous whining sound...

Just got back from the dealer where they replaced the Power steering fluid reservoir (bulletin 1/05 4897). The whine is gone! Hope it lasts.

Also for those with the EVO V-flow...They cleaned the filter and re-oiled (lightly) as they suspect the filter (over-oiled) is the reason for the MAF failure I got. They also said the MAF can be cleaned!

Prestige Porsche in Lakewood, CO handled the whole thing quite nicely!

Mine too. New resevoir, no noise after a week.

Just had the same procedure performed... whine is gone for now. Seems like this is a well known problem now, where a pressure control valve vibrates and causes this whistling/whining noise in most TTs.
