It seems like that cowling needs to be made of a flexible material. If it could be done, it would look fantastic!

I looked into a CF cowl years ago but never got enough positive feedback to justify production.

I'd be curious to see what that would look like. It would be an expensive investment to produce a prototype I think.

sand yours to get rid of the little nubs on it, then wrap it in CF 3M wrap then clear coat it.

If you're going to do that I'd suggest looking into "Hydro Dipping"

Could be a better option than wrapping it

I have been looking around for ages for a carbon fibre scuttle panel (that's what the bit under the wipers is called here in the UK)

I have found this company who have it on their website but I've tried emailing them & filling in their enquiry form a few times but still no reply?
http://carbonpro.eu/styled-2/styled-3/page9.html
You will see the scuttle panel half way down the page.

I'm going to try to see if I can track down a contact number for them to see if they still exist.

I feel there could be a good few of us that would be interested in this part if the quality was good enough.

If anyone has any luck in contacting them then please let us know!

It would be super easy to do a carbon cover wrap if you know what you are doing. That would ensure a factory fit and the carbon look you are after. Check you local directories for a composite aircraft specialist.

If you spray clear over cf wrap it makes it look more real, and last longer. The more coats you use, the darker it gets. After 3 coats it starts to loose the cf pattern

I am not so much into CF wraps, as I am real carbon fiber.
