997 TT Spotted in Malibu, CA!
Isn't the Death Valley area also great for testing TURBO cars because of the lower air pressure too? With the effect of altituide on Turbo engines it seems like a viable reason for testing there. Also the great weather year-round!

maybe that's somewhat true, but in general all the car companies test a lot in the canyons here because this is a huge market for cars and it has some unique conditions.

However, you have to admit that if Porsche were to pretty up that car and make it look as if it were a standard production 997TT, very few would even notice that there is anything special about it. Porsche isn't exactly known for pushing the limits as far as design changes go.

Yeah, that's what I was thinkin'....you guys could've surrounded them....hell, you could've car-jacked 'em! I could just imagine the panic; someone stealing the 997TT test mules...

Dave, that was seriously the greatest original thought ever posted on the Internet.
Ever.
Do it. Someone, please do it. Then, drop it off at one of our esteemed tuners, who can play with the engine, and get us an honest 600hp out of it, then fabricate the aero modifications that we're all going to do anyway, drop the suspension, change the wheels, put in a real sound system, then drop it off at PCNA HQ in Atlanta, with a note on the windshield asking them to please build this car instead.
malibu seems to be one of 'the spots' to test cars. I used to see blacked out versions of cars all the time when I lived there....kind of funny, in that first pic, I used to live up on big rock!

Tuners, however, will get 600hp+ rather easily.
