No that makes sense, but figure i'd ask Porsche people.
first off i your car isnt tuned for the increased boost you will be under the car repeatedly adjusting the wastegates for the weather outside. second the wastegates that are of any value are 350 EACH and you need 2. now your at epl special tuning sale for today. better jump

Upgraded wategates are $350. You need these if you plan to run more than stock boost. With stock wastegates, you might spike at the boost level you want, but fall off quickly...car might feel faster, but actually be the same...You obviously need a tune to bump the boost to 1 bar as you desire.
Most peopel gett he upgraded wastegates when they upgrade turbos. You can do the wastegates only and they can be done with the turbos on the car, just a little harder to do.

Thats kind of my point guys, If I do not upgrade the turbo's and only do the wastegates and possibly the divertors, is this mod worth the $700-800? I ask because I am not a racer, I drive my car. I drive my car almost daily. I want to hear the turbo spool and air flowing and fly in the 25-150 mph range.

Maybe i'm looking at the wrong mods, but the cost was so cheap, that I figured results could be less than quoted and it is still a big bang for the buck.

Are you guys saying if I upgrade the wastegates ONLY, the turbos will not go higher than the stock .7 bar? i thought all that I needed to do was upgrade wastegates to hit a full bar of boost.

Any recommends on catless exhausts? I was actually even considering a free flow straight pipe with resonator like this one:

Thanks VNT, I actually really like the Ebwerks videos, they sound awesome. Gurgles and pops and you can really hear the turbo's! Not sure if the car has other mods to make it that way though...

Sure, no sweat. The gurling and popping and even burping sometimes is from the cats "meow" being gone....

You'll be surprised how responsive the car is once you put on a catless exhaust.

Just seems to many are in the $2,000+ range. I guess I should hold off on some of the cheaper mods and save for exhaust.

messing with the wastegates can override what the ecu is controlling resulting in overboost conditions that can hurt your engine. using 1 bar wastegates needs a proper tune to keep the motor safe and get the most out of the mods. its a balance your seeking not a single item that does it all.
the car was built so that you DONT hear the turbos. thats why it has divertors into the intake and not a blow off valve that vents to the atmosphere

I think the Agency shower air boxes are POS (Pieces of Sh..... stuff) The fit of mine is so poor it makes me want to cry, it came with some absolute junk foram to help it seal around the deck lid and it jammed so tight against the back crossmember of the car it almost needed a hammer to make it go in that space. I took out my heat gun and heated the front of the box to bend and mold it some. I asked dan at agency shower to take the thing back and I just never got a reply I would throw the thing out and use something else if I had a stocker but the thing came on my car when i bought it.

So turbo noise yes, Agency Shower Airbox NO!!!

They did have problems with a decent fit on the first batch.
They did send me a new one after that, which still isn't perfect but I could work with it..

I also saw something about a tune for your Tiptronic? Wondering if it will ever shift faster than it does now. I drove the Ferrari 458 Italia the other day and WOW, talk about fast shifts with the paddles...
