it's no different than other car search. look at ebay, cars.com, , craigslist, autotrader etc for preown. check bmwforum.com also.

search for inventory at LA dealers at bmwusa.com.

I doubt you'll find too much depreciation on 645 since they are only a year old at most and preown inventory is low. I'd go for new and spend the extra few grand so you can get the exact options/color that you want.

My best friend owns the largest BMW dealership in the midwest. He is based in Chicago and ships cars all over the states and often can set up a courtesy delivery to a dealership close to you... He will give you a much much bettter deal than anyone in Cali, I can guarantee that. He has all kinds of inventory, PM me if you want his contact info

I think once the 650 comes out there will be more depreciation on the 645's, plus 650 sounds cool

Hmm, Lou, maybe he can service my 5 better then Knauz Motors, I have had nothing but problems with them and Motorwerks in terms of service. Our 2005 5, has had its fair share of problems so far. Replacement windshield due to whistle at high speeds, increased emissions warning, 15k oil interval, but oil light was on at 3k with warning to service engine soon. Knauz motors trashed the car a few times, 50 mile test drives, dirty interior, wouldn't return my calls etc.. etc.. . They told me I can't get a courtesy car, because those are reserved only for people who bought directly from Knauz. So in return they told me enterprise can rent me a 2003 Crysler Sebring, I said no thank you.
