I'm currently upgrading my turbos to alpha 28s on my 2001 996 turbo as a result I will need a new tune.

I am removing and selling my used K24 turbos. Currently the car has an FVD brombacker 1 bar tune for these turbos and 5Bar fpr and stock exhaust.

Can I sell these turbos and the ECU as a package (say for 2500$) and trade for the other guys stock (or modded) ECU?

Will the car not like either of us plugging in another VIN # ECU? What sort of hurtles can I expect. How do we overcome them?

My guess is the ecu is specific to the car, based on past experience. I am interested in the turbos though! How many miles are on them?

why are you complicating things... it will cost you 2 times more then just getting your current ecu flashed.. like $1500 for 3 upgrades( in our case)...
sell the k24s for $1850... add $1500 and your done...
what your trying to do just doesn't make sense and the other party will not start the car and you will pay $600 just to immobilize the new ecu for stock file at dealer then still need a tune... follow me?
