need some opinons on this puppy.

I sold(pending) my TT and was thinking of buying this. I'm looking for some opinions on the reliability of this thing. Im an M5 nut, and this would be the ultimate. But i could just as easy get a warranteed, dope as hell E55. That might be boring, i just am having serious stress over this decision.

This beamer would be a daily driver. Its supposed to be really fast and daily driveable. There is two in the world, this motor has 6k on it since the rebuild, and the Prince of Barain overheated his and melted some rings.(140 degrees over there)
So, what do ya think?

I remember these from my m5board days and if I remember right Shadowman and those guys have impeccable quality and engineering, everything is top notch. But I think you already know that phillym5 because you were on those boards. I remember the whole RMS fiasco with Black M5's car and how Shadowman and the DA guys made it all right again with this ULTIMATE Beast. E39 M5 is definetly my most favorite sports sedan of all time and always will be.

Thanks. Depending on the money, why not a GT3 RS street car. There is one for sale down here in Florida.

M5

That's hot. I'm a big M5 fan too. That car seems like it would be a monster. They're quite heavy for any track use but the overall M5 package is tough to beat as a sporty daily driver. A super modded car can be a pain after a while and kinda difficult to sell when it's time for something new. Based on this experience, I'm starting to lean towards staying with great out of the box packages with only minor mods. I'm going to check out the new M5 or M6 very closely.

Well, I sold the Porsche because it wasnt really feasable with my lifestyle. I dont really track very often(no time) and i always have my homies with me. My racing is usually highway or some straight line stuff. So, I love my M5, loved the TT, but if my M5 was significantly faster than my Porsche, well, here it is. Anyway, the positive feedback helps me feel more at ease with this purchase. I'll probably get it next week.

Buddy... supposedly this thing will trap in the mid 130's. See ya on the street homie.

Conversion held my interest as a former M5 owner and modder of the minor sort. If you aren't close to the builder of this beast it could be a headache. Obviously as you remember, lots of the claimed supertuners were super frauds and such. Even if this thing is exactly as advertised and has been sorted, there's only one place/maybe persons in the world who can fix it. If you get it be prepared for super highs and hopefully not but possible super lows. Good luck if you do it and keep us informed.

thats hott!!

i would imagine you would find the E55's handeling (or lack there off) to be a downfall compared to a race? tuned 5.

youll be getting from spot to spot in no time!
