Some drivers of our cars are not capable, for what ever reason, to do a Good 60' time at the track But on the street they can beat a faster ET car on the street..

 

thats because theres no clear cut lines to start race and stop. on ther street its either a roll or a jump race light to light which could be 1/4 mile or 1000 ft and no slip to specify who won! thats why so many like it on the street. the track takes all the variables away and pits car against car.

and btw a timeslip of 13.5 makes the car a 13 sec car no matter how fast a trap or big a motor. if you cant get it to the ground it just doesnt matter. at my local track theres a guy with a 900 hp vette. killer on the street but runs 13 all day at the track spinning thru the gears. still a 13 sec car!

I have street raced most of my life with my motorcycles and cars for money in the past, in which I beat faster strip ET vehicles on the street because they couldnt hook or werent prepped right for the street.
But many that dont know how to race like that ,like to run from a 1st gear roll on to start..Which is alot of my fellow Porsche/PCA members around here, Plus it does save the axles and clutch..
So,If a car runs 13 seconds with one driver and then his friend jumps in and runs 11 seconds,,what would that car be a 12 second car?..

 

how many times have you seen a private track rental were they bring out a car to set a record and the owner jumps out and a proven race car driver jumps in sets a record and the owner claims he has the fastest car? all manor of ways to get a timeslip. for me its whatever i run at that given day. my best friend has a crossfire srt 6 and im approx 150 rwhp more than him. yet i spend every weekend chasing him down the track! he is an amazing driver with the reaction time of a cheetah. he is on nitrous now and its unlikely ill see him in my mirrors!
