I second stickercity.com

they sell a tint that can be removed for inspection, it is applied using a water/alcohol combination and a simple project. I purchased the yellow, now blue film but for my front headlight assembly.

yellow film/front headlight

I don't know if I like the yellow. Reminds me of the older 996's with faded headlights...

I like the rest of the car

I would guesstimate that they would need the lights for 2 days, shipping on the second day. They apply several coats of the black and clear, as well as wet sand them until they are glossy like mine.

If you want to drive up here, there is a really nice Ritz about 3 miles from their shop. I'll be there this weekend while my house is getting painted.

How much does the tint block the visibility (to other drivers) of the lights?

at night, you really can't tell a difference. The only thing is when parking, the back up lights are very ineffective, especially with tinted windows.

The picture really doesnt do justice, as it was taken on a bight sunny day. The color is much more vibrant, somewhat of the Lemans look. I switched over to blue now and am satisfied.
