Long and Windy Road

News Flash: My car drove for a full hour today!!!! Perhaps not normally newsworthy, but given that my car has not been driven for over four months, this is a major event! The last four months have been a long and windy road, with several unforeseen obstacles and road blocks along the way. However, the team appears to be nearing the finish line. I am supposed to pick-up my car tomorrow. The final program has not yet been completed because the clutch on the test car disintegrated on the dyno because the power came on so quickly and intensely. Speed Gallery is switching to a Sachs Kelvar racing clutch with a modified/strengthened GT3 Cup pressure plate, and they are scheduled to return to GIAC next week to create the final program. Given that I must break in the new engine for 500 miles, without boosting, then break in the new turbos for another 300 miles, with only minimal boosting, the lack of a final program until next week should not impact my driving.

Craig,

Big mistake. The Kelvar clutch isn't really going to help much more. Next time look into the S Car Go clutch. It will handle up to 1200 hp no problem.

It costs a bit more (about 6K) but no problems.
