She's going under the knife tomorrow
I always thought that the k24 based would take longer to spool and make less then a 3071 or 3076.
If that is not the case why would people waste money on a FULL turbo upgrade for $4500+ when they can make more power on stock based stuff for far less like $3000 (including buying a k24 cores for $1100 & $1900 for upgrade and wastegates from 911Tunning)???
If there is some hard facts about your statement, I think I found my next upgrade....as in I can do this ASAP up grade!!
Thanks

i had both.... in order for the 20 to shine it needs race fuel or e85 and lots of boost.... boost for boost the 3076 turbo is a better option.
uhh... im not sure on 3071's but 3076's will get you very well into the 700 mark..and they are supperior turbo then the 20g. and will get you there with less boost..

Using the 3076's should get you to the 700 mark with less boost.
The billet 20's spool as fast if not faster than my old 24/18's. I have no comparison to the 3076's.
Good luck with the ones you choose.
But everyone always talks about lag this or that ... I could care less... All you have to do is down shift be in the right gear or rpm.. I mean if your on the highway in 6 th cruising just throw it down one .. And bam no lag
While yes there is the saying, "If you experience lag, you are in the wrong gear...", there is something to be said for a super responsive turbo that builds boost nearly instantly. I continue to go back and forth in my mind on the K24/18g or Billet K16 route for that very reason...

force performance will build a k24 turbo with a hta68 wheel extended tips and port and polish for 2400$ with cores. they machine the oem housing to fit the 68 wheel and im interested but its the most expensive of any k24 build i have seen. 3 week lead time
hmm very interesting ... first i hear of this , what are these rate for do you know?
A claimed 48 lb/min but no published compressor maps. AFAIK the flow #s are back calculated based on dyno performance on various platforms (mainly Evo) ...all of this IF not crammed into a "way too small for this compressor" K24 housing. This is why Champion does custom housings with these wheels on their VTGs (similar compressor housing limitations). They have hit over 700rwhp (dynojet) for a few seconds with the more restrictive (vs K24) VTG hotside though.
