You bet, and that's the rub--PCCB as initially marketed was supposed to last a life time, or at least a whole lot longer than the conventional rotors.

It costs $700-$800 for a set of 4 conventional rotors vs. $8150 for PCCB as a factory option. From Porsche's new disclaimer, you can bet your boots the PCCB isn't going to outlast steel 10 to 1.

So you'd buy these, presuming you would notice the benefit of less unsprung weight? Ooooooooh, not for me I think

porsche exec tells me there are only 2 claims to date in USA, and remember that it's hard for americans to take responsibility, we're all victims of pccb!!!

so i think pccb are working well for most gt2 users, incuding some i know with 80 heavy track days already on their discs. and it's always porsche's fault when something goes wrong, right???

i'm compiling a list of all claims, so anyone who actually placed a claim pls email me watt@oakwoodcap.com

Do I smell a class action lawsuit???

Where do I sign up???

On a serious note...Why steel brakes on your new GT3??? Any input would be great...i'm doing the order sheet for my new GT3 and I'm pretty much committed to PCCB's...But if Wattster says steel is better...steel it is!!!

ChrisY: Very simply, steel is well proven and low cost, difficult to show a legitamate performance loss compared to ceramic. There are major question out on ceramics for a very large cost.

chris,

as is clear to you, i'll buy anything if the price is right

altho' i'm only a slow, creampuff driver, and fixed **** added poseur as well, i plan to compare the steel in the gt3 to the pccb in the gt2.

and i can see if the unsprung disadvantage to my first gt3 w/pccb is important to the equation....
