Anyone have this front bumper (997 GT2 for 996T)???
Looks good man... got any more pics, particularly with the wing in the lower position?
in the meantime.. here's a few of links? car w/ strosek in an older thread https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ou-prefer.html i think it has the best aesthetics and most closely resembles and oem "fit" meaning it suits the car. it's not too "over the top" ( sorry
).. someone said the gt2 rear w/lid is kinda "too busy". that sums it up for me.
funny. i had seen links and turbofanatics and now yours. f14's and the strosek, that'll be me in a cpl weeks too but the faux gt2 front. that front looks good. you have any fitment issues or issues with the leds? again, are they the "strips" or did it come as part of matched parts already affixed? thx for posting the pics
add: leds from vivid ( duh ) never mind lol

This bumper takes a factory 997's LED... While searching for them, I realized that not all are DRL's. I found on VIVID's website DRL for 997 in clear or smoke... I opted for the smoke because I felt that the bumper is already a little busy. They are yellow turn signals as well. I also had to get the mesh to cover the openings behind them. As for fitment, I didn't do it myself but I can tell you it was a huge pain in the ***. You also MUST get a 3M or Xpel product on it ASAP. The end result is great, I love it and get lots of compliments from people. Many non-Porsche people can't comprehend that it's a 2004. As noted here by others I felt that the side skirts we a must to help match the flow of the lines of the car. I also did 997 mirrors and duct splitter.
I'd highly suggest protecting the paint on the fiberglass... I had major paint chips after the first weekend with it due to the hardness and flatness of the fiberglass vs the crap on the roads. Also... the bumper is longer than stock so you MUST be very careful about how you enter/exit gas stations, driveways, etc... my car is not nor will it be lowered due to this issue.
that's one of the reasons i can't do that front you have though i was seriously tempted... and the side skirts too. just too busy. but clearance is always an issue.. i'm currently replacing 2 c4s lips a year as is. my car's lowered, and the gt2 front will have the same clearance. i live in the sticks and drive at angles. i hear you on the expel and i know it can't possibly stand up like factory paint does/did?.., but i fell for an 800$ roll of tape.. just once
