NR Automotive Accesories sell this one and another one that I am tossing about between the two.

The same bumper as above:

The second bumper I am in toss up between:

The second one looks like a TechArt on steroids and seems like it is trying too hard. I like the 997 GT2 (first one) better as it is clean and definitely updates the 996.

the first one looks like it's trying to be a 997, I personally wouldn't spend that much money just for the 997 bumper look

the second one looks baaaaaad azzzzzzz!. It looks like the Vorsteiner Porsche

if you're going to do it then go all in, you'll have a super unique 996 TT and I personally love the Vorsteiner aero kit. May do it some day to my 997 TT

But what ever you choose find a Grade A+ body shop to match the paint. Looking at the pics on the link you provided and the bumper is 3 shades lighter than the body panels, awful job on the paint!

Good Luck

I put the NR Auto one on my car last year, I think it looks great. That being said, it sure has not been as simple as expected. I think that I was sold on a $2500 bumper that ended up closer to $10k. Of course I did not do any of the work myself. Once you add the cost of the grills, diverter, 997 led lights, bodywork, 3M Bra is essential (it is fiberglass not urethane), inner fenders from a 997 (these also need to be modified to fit) and I am sure other things that I do not remember the cost kept climbing.
Also it is lower than the stock bumper by a couple of inches so be prepared for even less clearance.
But even with all that I do like it. I looked and do not have and good pics but here is an a camera phone pic.

I am surprised that I have not seen more people with this bumper as it tastefully updates the car. I just purchased it along with the Agency Power 997 DTRLs. Hopefully it doesnt reach the 10K that you say... remaining hopeful. I sent you a PM with some additional questions.

Not a fan of either. They look too wide at points and don't transition well. Also the first one doesnt look like the fit is that great (between the side market and headlight).

That is what I am talking about!!

That is so clean yet mean!

After looking at other peoples (no offence) NR 997 GT2 bumpers, I am only going to look at the 2nd one. Again I would like to see that bumper on a car without the light covers and a clean one color paint job.

Thanks

Bobby Ali

The pic bananaman posted doesn't look right. The front bumper sits lower that the rest of the car, throwing it off. I think the bottom of all body panels should roughly align. I like the bumper's look but think they should redesign it so it is more balanced with the rest of the car.

Yes, it does sit lower and a little wider than the OE bumper. When I had it in to the bodyshop I did consider having them paint match the black lower "rocker" moulding to match for better flow. Obviously I decided against it.
Another member here who has a black C4S cab done with this bumper advised me to add a side aero kit as he had done to better match up. I may end up going that route, but whatever is added would need to flow to the rear bumper as well (maybe also new), making it one continuous look.
As for your opinion of it not looking "right", we are entitled to our opinions.
And the Vorsteiner front does look completely awesome, in my opinion.

i think the gt version ( (pic2 ) looks great. i would seriously consider it were it not for potential fitment issues as well as the fact that i'd have to ruin it with a front plate! it sure is tempting though. my cars color schemes is same on the two cars showing it, so it would look almost identical. if the led tails come thru, those along with a new front which i need anyway that would really freshen up the car for a few grand. very tempting.

what concerns me is "stuff" ya need to get it right, like the poster upthread mentioned. those led's upfront are not just plug n play by a long shot. done right, i still think it's a great look, the gt w led's.
