996 turbo or Bentley continental GT
I'm up for another car atm. The Cosworth is going to be a garage queen I think.
I have 2 choices that both burn passionately in side.
A 2003-2004 996 moded Turbo or Bentley Continental GT.
I've loved them both for years, having had a 911 I wonder if it is time to scratch the Bentley itch.
The problem is Ive heard a few reliability issues with the GT so though I would put it to you lot out there. With all that forum power there must be some one who knows some one that has had one ??
Any inside info greatly appreciated.
Thanks Guys.

If I can get some info first the itch might go away on its own.

Buddy of mine had a Continental that I drove a bunch of times. Getting IN it was always a pleasure, and driving it was nice-ish, but I felt isolated from the world, the road, and the even the car to certain degree. I LOVE to drive, so for me the 996 TC was the best car choice.
You're probably already leaning one way or the other, right? Perhaps looking to be convinced of your preference rather than swayed in the other direction? Tell us more about what kind of driving experience you like, and perhaps others here with similar prefs will contribute their experiences with each car.
Good luck, both are great cars!

That's why I felt the Continental GT with a V12 6000cc & 540 bhp 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and top speed of 202 mph was worth a try.
For a 5000lb car that's shifting. However I too have though about that isolation feeling.
Have a wee look its got its good and bad. I need persuading not to have another 911 tbh....that's the reason behind this post. ie any good reasons not to have a GT
I don't think Tiff was that happy with it either.

Porsche has been in my ownership since 2005, prior to that and also had Ford Escort RS Cosworths.

Wow Tiff has ***** of steel to do that in thoes conditions. The shot from the outside camera showing the guard rails it looked like there was a river flowing across the track!!!
However 2 completly different cars that do different things very well. I came from a M6 with a V10 with 507HP to my 2003 996 Turbo. The M6 is an amazing car and there are many things I miss about it however driving it and 2 track days I wanted a more involved drivers car that handeled better so I bought a Turbo and am very happy. That 80-150mph dash from the M6 never got old!!!! But the Turbo is more me.
Buy the Bentley, you can always sell it and buy a Porsche but its an expensive thing to do taking into account taxes and depreciation.
So my advise is skip that step and buy a Porsche....
