New turbos and injectors, first engine start

Today I hope to finish what has been a long but relatively fun process of putting in new injectors
, a pair of alpha 28s and 997.2GT2 RS intercoolers. Honestly the injectors were not fun at all but the rest seems much more straightforward. Tonight if all goes well I will be starting the engine for the first time. Since I had to empty the fuel in the filter and lines I am guessing it will take a minute to start. Because the turbos are new and have no oil initially is there any special procedure that should be used to "prime" them with oil, or any other pre start measures I should take?

Pull the fuel pump fuse and crank the engine over a few times. That should be sufficient to prime the oil lines.

Yep .. pull the C4 fuse. Crank over till you see pressure on the gauge.
Let it idle for a minute or so, then shut down and pull the plugs on the turbo drip tanks to make double sure the turbos are getting oil.

You will Love the 28s !!
Your going to need a bigger intake also to feed them.

72lb.

Unfortunately I never got to finish today. The tial water return lines require an adapter to be inserted into the existing water line right next to the fuel filter and it is not an easy task. That was the last part of the turbo install and I was so close! Oh well tomorrow ill try again.

Finished!

Last night after removing the right intercooler multiple times to sort out a small leak from the oil supply line to the passenger turbo, I finally got it sorted, put it all back together and installed the EPL base flash for this setup which is limited to 1 bar. I took it for a cautious drive just to make sure there weren't any other leaks or issues. Then I got it on the freeway and did a couple pulls through 4th gear to log Data for the tune modifications and IT WAS AMAZING Even with 1 bar it is a beast compared to my stock K16/1bar flash.
One of my favorite things, and something I have not read about...the Alphas sound incredible! When warming up, my wife said the car sounds like a fighter jet now. The turbo whistle is very noticeable now and it is enough to make your hairs stand on end!
I can't imagine how it will perform with the 100 octane file!

sounds fun. i remember when i did my alphas, injectors etc in a driveway. injectors were def a project the first time. when i was helping my friend the second time around we had both sides injectors out in an hour flat. newfound power is a good feeling.

One word of caution. The car will rev faster than you think. Keep a close eye on the tach.

I'm running ebwerks 3" x-pipe with no cats. The sound of the spool when idling in my parking garage at work is just beyond description.

The accompanying MPH that can get you arrested also comes way faster now
