Hi,
before I started the installation, I cleaned up my rear bumper from all the dirt of last years P-Box measurements - those have been my last runs with the car.
I wanted to see how those tips would look like on my bumper, which has a different cut out for the Gemballa tips compared to a standard 996 TT.
This is how it will look like when mounted:

A few words regarding the power restrictions:
Every single bend in an exhaust is a restriction. There is only one optimal thing for a turbo car and that is a straight pipe. I wouldn't call that an exhaust. It is just a tube to direct the hot gases away from underneath the car. If that wouldn't be necessary you could just run a trumpet like short piece of pipe with 3" length.
Comparing this exhaust to straight pipes is just not a valid comparison.
Mark used this exhaust (without cat, of course) on his 1250 HP car. If that power is the result of a restrictive exhaust, I would like to have that exhaust - oh wait....
I have it

Yesterday I have finished almost all exhaust related work and only the heat shield needs to be mounted.
Of course I started the car, but it was already 9:30 pm and my neighbors have a little child, so I couldn't test as much as I wanted.
A full description with soundfile/video will follow but for nor I want to say that I am extremely happy with my exhaust.
I checked the soundlevel in my car and did that also with my Gemballa exhaust before so that I have a comparison. At idle this new exhaust is 10 dB less loud in the car (66 dB before, 56 dB with 911tuning exhaust). This very promising regarding drone level and I can't wait to drive the car.
Outside it is 3 dB louder at idle than the previous exhaust.
A 10 dB difference means half as loud as before. At idle that is - we will see how it behaves when I drive it.
If you rev the car, this exhaust is crying for more. It will be fun beyond 3500 RPMs, I guess.

Time for a soundcheck:
I have split the video in two parts in order to not have a boring long warmup time in the video.
Startup and warmup phase until to 2 minutes:
Short rev ups to about 2000 rpm, holding it at around 3000 rpm and then short rev ups to around 4000 rpm.
Let me know what you think. I love it.

Thank you guys.
If you want an exhaust and no straight pipes, just take the catless version of this one and probably don't neck down with the tips. That should give you what you want.
The short pulses at 2000-2500 rpm are already at 99 dB loudness. The i-Phone video doesn't catch what this exhaust really sounds like. I will do better soundchecks when the car is on the road again.

That sounds amazing. Absolutely an incredible looking car you have there
my friend!
32Krazy has heard my cat-less version of your exhaust and he loved it.
He said it had a very nice deep grumble at idle and cruising and a mean
*** whine at speed! I am very very happy with my setup from markski
and it sounds like you are too. Enjoy that beautiful machine my man.
