Have the Brockway Engineering d gauge coming, I've read here somewhere that you might have to get it flashed to integrate with my car? Not sure so I thought I'd ask. I did specify to vivid that it was for a 996tt so not sure if that matters. Thanks.

It shouldn't need anything - plug and play.

Yes, you will need a 996tt flash on the Dgauge in order for it to auto shot down otherwise the unit will be on for up to an hour after the ignition is shut off. Eric developed it for my application so basically the unit turns off when it "sees" zero RPM. The 996tt is different from other cars in that our ecu does not go to sleep for around 45 mins or so after ignition is turned off and as a result the Dgauge stays on with the stock program. You will need to get v24 if I am not mistaken. I can verify the version for you later today. All you will need to do is ship him the Dgauge and he can turn it right around for you. I fedexed it to him and had it back the next day.

I have a D Gauge, too and not sure if it has this "mod." Is the concern battery drain? I can't imagine it draws much, but...do tell!

No, it does t draw much but I found it annoying that the unit would cycle on and off for up to an hour sometimes after the car was shut down. I wanted the unit to shut off and stay off once the engine was shut down.
