Yeh I really don't think the TCU will no the difference between c2/4/turbo other than speed.

I agree. The planetary gears can be changed out. I was planing on going down the road you are figuring out but found a turbo tip used with a little physical damage on the underside for 1k.. My plans are to rebuild and put on the shelf. I have two turbo tips now so I most likely need it down the road.

I am....when this thing comes in I'm gonna clean it up and get to studying. Eventually il take it apart and start sourcing gaskets, seals, clutches, and other parts. Gaskets are easy if you can't find them. You can always make your own from Reinz material. I'm nowhere near blowing my tranny from a performance standpoint. I'm still on stock turbos so I have plenty of time.

there she sits. have not pulled clutches yet. i will and start figuring out thicknesses and what not. start sourcing parts i want and go from there. pretty sure going to have IPT build the valve body tho

Yes the one from eBay.. I also had my valve body rebuilt at ipt.
