Wheel / Tire Fitment Question
SubscribeHey guys,
First I apologize if this has been covered or if there a thread dedicated to this, I couldnt find one.
I have new tires on my new car and have ordered a set of Forgestar F14 wheels. Just want to make sure that the tires I have will work with the offset.
Car: 996 Turbo
Offset : Front -ET43
Tires: 245/40/18
Suspension: stock (for the moment)
Will this setup work?
Will it still work if I lower the vehicle?
Thanks!

I have them on my stock wheels as well. However my new wheels have an offset of ET43.
Thats 7mm closer to the fender than stock.
This is why I'm concerned.

what size rear are you running ?
what brand of tires ?
not all 245s are the same...

Sorry they are Dunlop and I'm only concerned about the fronts. The rears are the stock size.
Should be okay, possible slight front liner rubs on full lock but that would be mainly from the tire size.
youre not doing it right
go with a 315 30 18 in the rear if youre going to up the fronts that much

+1, I didn't think of the rear.

youre buying a front tire that is almost an inch taller than oem.

we gonna do things the right way.

problem solved. you wont have any rubbing or drama.

Lol! You're right. Totally forgot about the profile. My mind was just thinking of the width....obviously.
I'm going to order new tires for all 4 corners.
Good news....ill soon have 4 new-ish tires for sale.

whatever you do! don't click on that hankook 75$ off coupon on the bottom of this page.. or you may end up wanting to sell 8 new ish tires. ( he says while ducking flak from hankook fans lol )
all kidding aside. i also run f'star f14's w gt2 fitment and you will love the stance and stability. take their advice and go 235/40 and 315/30/18, and never look back. i will make a recommendation re tires that will fit. i think you've got yoko advan 08's/michelins or pirellis.. maybe bridgestones(??) as for me, i have stayed with michi's, but wince at the price on average, 2x a year lol
