Ok, I am wondering if I bought the wrong brake fluid. Ugh! My car is mostly stock / street driven and I was wondering if you guys knew if I would be ok putting AP Racing 551 Racing brake fluid in my lines? From what I gather 551 is DOT 3. Our cars require DOT 4. Would I mess anything up if I put in this fluid? Thanks in advance fallas! If it is wrong then would I be good with picking up some DOT 4 from Autozone in the morning?

 

The Dot 3 will interchange/mix with the Dot 4 stuff. Dot 4 typically has a higher boiling point that Dot 3 and is used in high performance/heavy duty applications...
