I like reading what previous model owners say about the 996. It's exactly what current 996 owners say about the newer models. They lack rawness.

Welcome aboard. If you choose to retain the factory operating spoiler, I believe a working lid and spoiler is for sale in the classifieds. If not, there's an awesome throwback whaletail available at an unbeatable price. Good Luck with the exhaust search.

I miss my 930 too. My 930 had about the same power yours had. Flash your new car and you'll start reminiscing about getting punched in the face again

all this talk of a/c cars is hitting me as i've really wanted to get another 993 something awful. what i don't miss is the potential rear end swingout 45 degrees those few times when i would lose it.

i've never had the rear of the turbo leading the front before

Do you have a 911 tuning exhaust? I noticed in your signature, i was just surfing their web site late last night. I did a complete write up on Pelican on my 930 build, not only a punch in the face and definitely stole my wallet http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-9...most-done.html Man I miss that car!

I will definitely be picking up another a/c car, 993 C4S, 964 T or 930T but instead of selling this 996TT i will be keeping it and just adding to the garage.

Id be interested in seeing the throwback tail, I found one but it was for the C4S. Who makes the one you are talking about? I not overly keen on the GT2 tail and still like the stock look so hopefully I can get it working without alot of expense.

Without opening a can of worms here and as I mentioned I have searched all the forums regarding exhaust........is the EP1 worth the $$$ for a stock set up to get a proper sound out of this car....it is very underwhelming currently

Cargraphic "loud" is a very good sounding exhaust system for the 996TT. Its isn't overly loud, has a nice rip under throttle, and burbles very nicely on deceleration....

I think I have read every post on every exhaust set up every one has tried or thinking of trying....so no further ahead with my search, to much information is not always a good thing.
But I had to start somewhere so Ive narrowed my options to 3 companies, all 3 of them have been excellent at getting back to me and getting me all the info just showing how competitive this market is and how passionate these guys are about what they build.
I didnt have this kind of anxiety about asking my wife to marry me and she definitely costs me way more than an exhaust system for this car will!!!
Short list is EP1, Speedtech 2.5 and AWE. Theres about a $1000 difference between them all so the question is what am i getting or not getting for that money??? All these guys have a great rep and whatever I go with Ill probably love, saving the $1000 gets me closer to the EVOMSit tune too....hmmmmmm F*^&ing decisions. I suppose there are worse problems to have
And I haven't even thought of looking for a used exhaust or waiting for a off season sale price

Welcome and Great looking 930!

My last turbo was a 930. I had an '87 and '89. The 89 was an ANDIAL car

and it was around 400 to the wheels. As you know, the 930 weighs 500 lbs

less and has 0 driver assist features! First time on the track I felt like a cat

in a room full of rocking chairs.

You're gonna grow to love your 996 turbo. If you start missing your 930,

convert to rear wheel drive, add a 150 hp and cut the psm off.

Rumor had it that the Euro cars made 300+ hp and were noticeably quicker.

I think a better flowing exhaust was responsible for the extra power.

Any truth to this?
