Did the first mod on my 996TT, added 7mm spacers in front and 15mm in the rear....looks amazing, gives it the GT2 stance now really fills up the wheel wells
Ill get some pics up later today,
There is a set of H&R spacers 7 & 15mm in the marketplace with longer bolts.https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ger-bolts.html
(no affiliation decent price)
We experimented with 3 then 7 on the front and 7, 10, 15 on the rear....go right to the 7 & 15mm IMHO.

As I mentioned i have 2 small gremlins. Spoiler failure and oil pressure indicator.
Ive read a lot on the spoiler failures and going to tackle this one first. I can raise and lower the spoiler via the button on the dash and the wing moves about an inch or so. It still gives me a warning light though Im not sure if it moves while Im driving. A go pro would be nice to film it...anyway how much travel is in the hydraulic rams? I found this picture.. is this the max extended height??

then you'll forever develop the habit of involuntarily looking in the mirror coming down offramps to ensure it's working
it's as if once they've falied, and been repaired?.. the memory of "flaccid wing syndrome" still haunts many of us, to this day. it's an easy fix for those very mechanically inclined and the diy is all over in here. GL w it.
AWE and don't look back.
I think I have read every post on every exhaust set up every one has tried or thinking of trying....so no further ahead with my search, to much information is not always a good thing.
But I had to start somewhere so Ive narrowed my options to 3 companies, all 3 of them have been excellent at getting back to me and getting me all the info just showing how competitive this market is and how passionate these guys are about what they build.
I didnt have this kind of anxiety about asking my wife to marry me and she definitely costs me way more than an exhaust system for this car will!!!
Short list is EP1, Speedtech 2.5 and AWE. Theres about a $1000 difference between them all so the question is what am i getting or not getting for that money??? All these guys have a great rep and whatever I go with Ill probably love, saving the $1000 gets me closer to the EVOMSit tune too....hmmmmmm F*^&ing decisions.
I suppose there are worse problems to have
And I haven't even thought of looking for a used exhaust or waiting for a off season sale price

Ha
Ive heard the exact same thing about the EP and Speedtech
If i am suppose to see the spoiler in the rear view it definitely isn't moving up far enough, hence the failure light. but the good news I guess is the motor is fine and it moves evenly so looks like it needs just a top up on hydraulic fluid.

What part of Dallas will you be on thursday?
Back from travel and cleaning up after the floods in Calgary so ready to take apart my hydraulics for the rear spoiler.....I seem to remember reading a DIY on topping up the hydraulic rams in situ and of course I cant find the link again. I realize Id be fighting gravity trying to fill the rams, short of taking the deck lid off an flipping it over.
My issue is I cant get the wing up far enough to take it off then drop the rams out.
Any suggestions, is it possible to raise the wing manually? or even better fill the rams in place, i have the hydraulic pump out of the car...
