Front splitter
Front splitter
After getting my car back in order and falling in love with it again, I thought I'd celebrate by mounting this splitter I bought last year from F1 Crazy. Taking the car to Watkins Glen next weekend for a shake down and hope to see good results.

Looks really nice Larry. Last time I was in Watkins Glen was in 1979 for an F1 race won by Gilles Villeneuve ;-) I envy you, have a great and safe day at the track!

Thanks guys. The blue color did make me buy this car, and she has been a good car except for the boost problem nobody could find. Since that is fixed, she's a blast again. Hope the splitter does it's job and that it's not too much for the fairly mild rear wing, otherwise I'll be shopping for a big wing.

For those that wanted splitter feedback, all I can say is I had no baseline experience with Watkins Glen so I can't make a definitive review until July at Summit Point where I have run before. Watkins is a great track, but I was trying to learn the track and get back in the driving groove after a year long layoff, then I blew a rear tire. I was in a downhill right hand sweeper when I felt the rear break loose. As I was trying to compensate I could feel the PSM controlling the brake pedal, and it saved my bacon. Funny, during the previous session I felt PSM interfere, so I had turned PSM off for this session, but it kicked in during the emergency. It applied braking to the proper wheels in order to keep the car from going out of control. This is one time I'm glad PSM was there.
I tried to upload pictures of the tire but my iPhone pictures must not be compatible with the RL picture program.

Splitter and PSM
I saw Larry's Splitter and it looks very nice. It goes smoothly all the way under the car almost to the front axles, so I am curious to hear more about it's impact on frontal downforce and any differences versus a baseline at the track.
Also, on the PSM, as has been said before, you can turn it off at the dash, but that only disables it while you are off the brakes. When you are on the brakes it turns itself back on and potentially saves your butt. If you want to fully take it out of the equation -- because it is doing more harm than good, which is the case with my suspension setup where any trail braking sends it into a brake stabbing panic mode -- you have to unplug it under the master cylinder. It's the big plug right below the master cylinder. It will throw a PSM Failure yellow text mesage on your dash, which goes away as soon as you plug it back in.
