cb44 is infamous around these parts
If I were specing the car new, I would not order wood...but this one has it and as long as I am not paying extra for it, it's not a deal killer.

cb44,

I actually spec'ed my car and I spec'ed the dark maple burl. Granted, it is not for everyone. I like it as it sets the interior apart from all the other's which to me all look alike. Kind of like if you have seen one 996tt, you have seen them all. I used carbon fiber on my Renntech CLK60 and it just seems to date the car. Kind of like the old plad Porsche seats. I guess it's a very subjective item.

The dark wood with the metropol blue didn't look that bad, and after a few minutes, I did like what it did to the normal interior. With the gear shift lever and handbrake in wood/Ti, it was not over the top at all. the wood/leather steering wheel is another thing....
