265 front tires on the street - crazy?

The wheels I'm getting are almost begging me to run 265/30-19 tires.. They are 19x9.5 with an offset of 52mm. By my calculations that should be a good no-spacer fit that won't touch the strut or the outer fender.

Rears would be 19x11.5 ET41 with 315/25-19. Overall diameters are good for the AWD as well.

I've read about this size being used on the track, but anyone here used 265 fronts on the street? How do you feel about them?

May fit but that's going to seriously impact the balance of the car I would think. That's A LOT more grip than the 225 the car came stock with. The 225 made the car under steer a little bit (doesn't make fat men as nervous) the 265 on the other hand will add so much grip you'll likely over steer (fat men screaming everywhere) with a setup like that. I'm not a handling expert so maybe somebody can chime in who is.

I run a 265/30/19 nitto on champion wheels with no rubbing. The 2 things Ive noticed since going up from the 235's are heavier steering and less understeer. Neither are necessarily bad,in fact less under-steer is great.

Nice, has the reduced understeer taken you by surprise and gotten you into any trouble on the street?

Any pictures of the setup?

I havent encountered any oversteer yet, but I dont drive it as hard as some others. Where I noticed the difference was making some sharp turns, the front would push then turn, now it just turns.

There are a few others here that have run 255 and 265 with no negligible effects either and when you consider you are also running a larger 315 in the rear, balances it out in my opinion

Ill post pics when I have a chance.

Not sure if you were talking to me, but the nominal diameters are 25.31" front and 25.28" rear (assuming Nitto Invos) so I'm pretty sure they'll fit in that regard.
