Keep what you have now, don't take the hit, buy your self something nice with what you would loose on the m5. Then get the m6 in the spring and 997TT, and be really happy.

He doesn't need a car for the winter, since he goes down to Miami when it snows up here.

BTW, new BMW are gorgous, I love there looks!

The whole point is that he won't be taking a hit when he sells whatever car he buys now.

EXACTLY!! Glad someone caught on. If I buy a M5 at list drive it for 4 months, I will take a minimal hit as like someone above said, dealers are charging and getting $15-20k over list!! With the limited production, this car is not going to cool anytime soon. Its not like AMG cars that have short shelf life, the last M5 dealers were charging list almost until the last couple months of production... They were charging over list for almost 2 years!!

If I take a 650, my friend will sell to me at invoice...I will take very minimal hit as 2004 645ci coupes still bring low 60's wholesale!! Mine would be a 2006 and 650 which people are already clamoring to get

Nice, well then Lou I say go with the m5, then get both the m6, and 997TT in the spring. BTW, what color combo are you considering getting for the m5 ? I love Black/Cream

I agree with many here, you crazy to sell that fabulous car.

I'd get the M5 since you can drive it for free assuming you pick it up at list.

Good luck.

I would go with the 650 coupe for the time being. It offers your preferred aesthetics, ties up less cash, and is available at a solid price.
