I can get a new M5 in November, however, I am really not a sedan guy and am torn... In the spring I will trade whatever car I get in for an M6 and then I will also get a 997TT in the summer. Anyway, which of the three would you get for use for about 4 months until the M6 comes out....

Thanks

Lou

Do you have kids, or the need for back seats ? If not then save up a bit more and go for the M6 coupe.

Lou,

If you're going to have the car in Chicago, the Cab doesn't make much sense over the winter. I personally like the Coupe better.

I've seen both the M5 and M6 in real life and frankly, the M6 doesn't hold a candle to the M5 when it comes to prescence and design. The M6 looks a bit plain and dull (this is compared to the regular 6-series) whereas the M5 looks more agressive.

No kids, single... As stated this car would simply be a 4 month car until I get the M6 in spring

Can't you just keep what you have til the M6 comes out? Wouldn't you be taking a large hit for only having a car four months? I think all the new bimmers suck btw.

Take the M5 - they are asking $20K over MSRP in my market (Calif.). I have called 41 dealers (western US) and have found 3 that will sell at MSRP - 8 that will only sell within there market, and at MSRP and all had lists of 5 people or more - most had 10 or more. The rest had lists of 5 people or more and were asking from $10K to $25K over sticker.

I suspect by next March the heat will drop - but if you can get an M5 now at MSRP, take it as your trade back to the dealer in Feb. or so when the M6 comes out will be far better than the 650.

You will get the best of both worlds and M5 and then an M6! Check out www.m5board.com and look up the e60 page - a lot of great information on the car including the USA catalog (20 pages).

Good luck.

I'd keep whatever I have during 4 months ... and use the saved money towards booze drugs and biatches.

Lou,

I would either get the M5, or keep your Turbo S until you get the M6 next spring...

My vote would be to keep the Turbo S... it has to be one of the hottest turbo's I've ever seen!!!
