I have several 996 mirrors in stock (both auto for the TT and manual dimming for the non-TT models). The first to make payment will get them. I just bought one each of the two mirrors for my two cars. I would like to order one of the remote volume controls also, but I need to know whether this is available in the shiny finish. The car it's going in is a 2000, and it came with the shiny control buttons.

Several companies do this for custom radar system installs (priced at $3,900 for the entire install), but I doubt anyone will come within $500 of this pricing, if they even agree to sell the mirror by iteslf. We are selling OEM Porsche mirrors, and we are losing at about $250 per completed mirror.

Is the auto dimming mirror a bolt on replacement/upgrade for a non auto dimming mirror?

 

You can view the photos on www.beastpower.com (accessible via the links above). It is unclear whether the auto-dimming mirror can be used in a 996 that was not wired for it from the factory.

In the Bay Area you can use either:
- Precision Car Stereo (as Fred mentioned)
- Custom Exotica

We are completely sold out of the auto-dimming version. We still have one manual-dimming mirror. The first person to e-mail me at beastpower@beastpower.com, confirming that they want to purchase the manual-dimming 996 mirror for $395, will be able to pay for the mirror.
