Angry disappointment , transmission or transfer case

Hi guys , after month first siries problems , I can hear a little clancking , on 3rd gear it's feels like the bolts having a party somewhere in transmission area , but it hard to tell where . So here is the plan , I'm going to do RWD conversion and I hope the noise will disapire but if not it's the tranny , just in case what the best way to handle that ? Might somebody had expirienced same problems ? Any help aprisiated .

If your clanking is in third gear only, I would suspect third gear ie the transaxle.

You may want to consider removing the front drive shaft and see if the noise persists.

Do a search, there are many on RWD conversion.

Good luck!

takes about 30 min to remove the drive shaft. after that theres only 1 way to knbow whats going on in the trans. remove it and look. contrary to popular belief you dont have to drop the engine to drop the trans. its not easy but doable. harder to reinstall everything than it is to remove it
