New forum member here, just wanted to do a proper intro. I recently picked up a 2002 996tt after selling my modded e60 m5 and boy I could not be any happier with the change. The m5 was great, but for most of its life was a finnicky car, high maintenance, and with all the electronic gizmos was an electrical nightmare.

I'm glad to be back in a manual sports car. Here is a photo of my old car... I hope to be able to take this project a few steps further than the m5.

Excited to join this community, seems very technical, active, and passionate bunch of enthusiasts. I have lots to learn about the 996 platform, but am looking forward to learning, contributing, and modding away.

Welcome, and congrats on the new car! I too went from an M5 to the 996TT, but I had an E39. Very different machines, but change is good and although I will always miss the M5, the TT is an awesome upgrade. Enjoy!

Since getting the car, I've already purchased an EPL K16 flash, talked to Tony about the K16 billet upgrade, and am in the market for an exhaust. The madness has certainly begun.

oh man.. are you in for a funride. if you're already with epl and the k16's? get used to them with the tune ( and exhaust ASAP ), and then..

think bigger. i think i've found a sweet spot for my car powerwise w 16/24's but there's soooo many choices, with most of them right, depending on your goals..

head definitely spinning here, your right, too many choices on turbo trims and mods, etc. Upside is there's a contingent of everyone represented, so advice and opinions are plentiful. I want to have a reliable low 11 second, 600 crank hp car that can be daily driven, with occassional track time..at least thats what I want for now...
