The same thing happened to my first light from ebay I tore the bottom edge of the gasket trying to align it but I exchanged it for a new one. The next one I used a bit of grease to align it in easier. I read if the lite doesn't work you just have to swap the two wires to correct the polarity. I do agree oem is better quality!

+1 same issue but it still looks better then when my oem gasket was falling apart.

I know about swapping the polarity but that made no difference, the light just did not work no matter what. I could have returned it but by the time I got around to installing it, it was months later and I am so bad with returning niggly little items like that.

i'd be pissed if my $100 light bulb didn't work. but fortunately mine does, and i agree the clear led is a nice functional touch. now if only we could get the....
