Under car shifter. Not notchy at all. If the transmission fails it is easy to remove and easy to put back to stock.

I have the B&M Undercar Shifter and have been very happy with it. The shifts are as buttery smooth as they were stock (without the "Boat Rowing" throw).

It COULD be a little shorter, but the low cost, ease of install and smoothness is worth that little sacrifice.

Yup again. 5 minute install if you have a lift, 20 minutes if you are on your back. Leaves NO trace of install when returning to stock.

I have a TechArt Adjustable (3-ways) undercar SSK. Excellent feel, and unlike the in-car unit, it can be removed if you don't like it!

I had the B&M under car SSK. I switched to the OEM in car SSK.

I found the throws a little shorter and smoother...but not by much. Both are great, but I'm glad I switched to the OEM in car SSK.

Had the B&M SS in two 996s and was very happy with the feel of it, never found it to be too notchy, felt it to be fine.

Porsche OEM ssk. Can't go wrong with factory stuff. Shorter throws, a little more effort. Overall great bang for the buck, but not perfect.

Being new to the arena of modifying my Porsche, I do not understand the difference between the in car SSK and the under car SSK besides their respective titles.

As with my BMW M3, when I was shopping for SSK's, there was only one type of SSK.

I had the Porsche SSK on both my turbo S and turbo cab...I ordered it as an option from the factory..b Best option imo, the regular shifter feels miles long after having teh SSK... Highly recommend..
