My car had bent rods with 550 / 590tq rw. Albeit it was a 16 billet setup and the low end
hit was STRONG!

A lot of tuners would disagree, but anything significant and you need rods. Also,
stock compression is 9.4 to 1 and the stock turbo only ran 10 lbs boost. When you
double the boost.........

Tuners wanna sell "power kits." They won't sell as many power kits if they tell
you that you need to build your motor.

I had my rods bend at 720hp and 750tq. The torque is the reason the rods bend and that's what 99% of the guys will say.

I think the consensus is around 600whp/600tq is where trouble can start to happen. In other words, an 18G setup is about the largest turbo you can run without having to worry too much about the internals.

your tuner can limit your max torque in critical area, so you are able to handel more hp at higher rpm with stock internals

Also why would all the dash lights light up when shifting? Then they go off, like 6500rpm, is that a modification shift light via the tune?

Its more so in how hard and fast the main hit comes in at the lower RPMS when you are in the 600s HP/TQ range ,,thats have seen and heard..
Of Course timing and detonation come into play to add to that with a bad tune..

We had a motor blow up over here also. K24/18g passed 1.2 bars have caused bent rods in the motor.
