Mysterious Tail light issue I can't figure out
Hi all, I tried searching but couldn't actually find anyone who had a solution to this problem. Here's the symptoms:
1) Rear driver tail light doesn't light up, warning on in dashboard
2) Passenger side works fine
3) Reverse, blinker, and fog light all work
4) When I unlock the car or turn the lights on, driver side tail light comes on for 1 second then turns off
Here's what I've already tried:
1) Swapped left and right tail lights, verified that it works on the other side
2) swapped all bulbs in both taillights, made no difference
3) Cleaned electrical contacts
4) Checked fuses. They're fine and like I said the light does come on briefly and all other lights work
5) Replaced headlight switch, made no difference
Has anyone else seen this before or have a solution? Since it comes on for a second and then turns off and all the other lights work, it doesn't appear to be an intermittent issue or a wiring issue in between the switch and the light but rather some other electrical problem.

Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes, then reconnect it. DON'T LATCH THE FRUNK WHILE THE BATTERY IS DISCONNECTED.
This will reset the bulb control module and function may magically return.

Thanks for the reply, gave that a shot and no luck unfortunately.
I did notice today that the spoiler is stuck up and the engine compartment light doesn't work...although I'm not sure if these are separate issues and my spoiler hydraulics and engine bulb happened to go out now.
Is the rear control module in the passenger side suspension area? Is it possible the module went bad or there is some coding issue?

Nothing wrong with the wiring...looks like the rear module just went bad. All good now!
