CarbonjunkieTT is infamous around these parts
Newbie

Hi there!
I have been lurking in the background trying to find out if this is the forum for me to join. Having had my 996TT -01 for 4 months I had not found a "decent" forum but this is great, good job guys

Having had a couple of BMW's I decided to step up to the plate and get THE road and track car and I don't regret my decision ... At the moment I have a CF styled M3 -01 but I hardly drive it because it can't in any way measure up to the TT.

I will post some pics for you guys to comment on but give me a week or so to take new photos. It has no aftermarket stuff yet but the big carbon package + all the other possible CF parts you could order. Color is Meridian and grey leather with black mats with grey trimming.

Looking forward to many hours of reading interesting threads and discussing how to increase my Porsche satisfation

Thanks and let me ask a really stupid question then ...

When comparing the brake of the B*W and the TT the pads squeeeeeeel a lot. Is it just me being a whimp pushing the brake pedal or is it something which is impossible to avoid. I'm trying to brake hard from time to time (yes looking in my rear view mirror not to get a whiplash injury). Do I have to live with it?

Congrats on the new ride...

The brake squeel has just recently discussed..Have a look here: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...&threadid=3187

Mine squeel too and i've just learned to live with it. My service advisor said I didn't bed the pads in properly when new (I wasn't the original owner, bought my car with 1000mi.) I've tried gently breaking while on the gas at 50mph...it works for a while, but after a few weeks the squeel comes back. Maybe try some of that anti-squeel goop or teflon backing on the pads???

BTW, I had a E36 M3 and the stock brakes were a bit squeeky too...but not as bad as the TT...But then again, i don't think mine are that bad.
