Dyno Day Today!!!!(Stage 2 IA)
Hey guys, FINALLY got my car dynoed today!!!! The type of dyno used was a Dynateck (sp?). I Know this dyno is accurate because he had a car on a dynojet and his in the same day and results were within 5HP....For those of you that don't know my car, it is an Imagine Auto stage 2 (Fabspeed Super Sport Exhaust).
ANYWAY....
First run:
5000RPM/429WRHP/1.0Bar/10.88A/F
Second Run:
6000RPM/449WRHP/1.0Bar/11.17A/F
I personally use a 13% loss (I know there is not set number), this means my car ran 507BHP!! Right on target with what stage 2 should be running!! I actually think EVO uses 15%, so if you want to compare to the claims for stage 2 my car has about 516BHP with 15%....
My shop and I were trying to figure out how GIAC comes up with 512 LBS FT Torque as the equation he uses is: HP=RPM x Torque/5252.... From this at 507HP we come up with 443 LBS FT of Torque...what am I missing??
My shop and I were very happy with the low A/F, no wonder my tips are always black
We did do one more run, this run was done with unreal conditions (fans on intercoolers, upfront, on car, and engine and intercoolers sprayed with water) just to see what the car was really able to do....487WRHP(550BHP)!!!!!!!! This was amazing and I wish it was the case on a normal run, but the other run is much more realistic...
Here are a couple pics!!

Kudos to Stephen, the car is RIGHT ON TARGET!!!
Regards,
Evan
PS-I know the K&N sticker added AT LEAST 5RWHP

BTW you'll get a buncha peeps saying 13% is way too low... I've heard some people say 25%, others 18% an well just about anything
Who cares, seems fast enough and you're plenty rich. Get a set of new/bigger turbos and lean things out lol

AMG ETR,
Your little experiment using water on the intercoolers makes it understandable the benefits of liquid CO2 jacketed intakes and intercooler sprayers. The only difference being the CO2 provides a cooler charged induction air.
Congraduations on your successful modifications.

Endra, thats just a sticker...I think the engine looks boring so I just threw it on
hey like I said thats an extra 5RWHP for me
Alex:Yes just got off the phone with Stephen he thought 15% would be more accurate, but my shop is very conservative...either way, its making more power then promised so I am happy
CJV:That was my shops idea, maybe he got it from you guys (he is buddies with Rob)

I def think that the car puts out over 460+rwhp based on the BUTT dyno. I hear thats the most accurate. Congats E I cant wait till I take her for a spin.
So 440 somthing rwhp and no speed govenor + aero kit and lowered suspension = 200+ mph??? North Carolina here we come!

Evan,
the fan idea is not that unreal... when u are actually driving the car, the wind, or the air just like a big fan (even stronger wind) that sucked in to the engine... am i right??
