a very sad day for me, me and my tt cab involved in a major accident today
oh man, so sorry to hear. and i just commented on ur PSI quiet exhaust in the other forum too.
don't worry. these cars are built to withstand a lot of punishment. everything is componentised. it can be put back to perfect condition. i know first hand of a turbo that got slammed into a guardrail
still a sucky feeling tho. you're be replaying the sequence in ur head over and over again. thank porsche that you're okay!

Mike: have you updated the insurance with the latest photos of your car? In order for the insurance company to cover the aftermarket modifications, you have to go to them and ask them to take new photos and ask them to make copies of the receipt, its free, no charge but if you have not done that, I don't think they can get it covered.
From your story, it looks like you will get a new car instead of fixing that one

Good to hear you're okay at least. As far as your mods, usually your insurance company will cover mods up to a certain dollar amount. You will need to provide receipts, photos, ect... Typically if you want to cover beyond that amount, you'll need to add a rider or get an "agreed value" policy.
Do you think it's totalled?

Mike,
The most important thing is you are fine and that the car safety implements did everything to protect YOU, cars were designed to break and fall apart and can be put together with ease. I believe your insurance should cover your mods, dont know exactly what you have and whats been damaged but either way DONT WORRY all will be fine as long as you are healthy you can get more MANY more mods done!

After thinking about your incident some more, all I can say is I'm glad you're posting about it instead of someone else posting it for you.... We don't want anymore memorials here.

Mike sorry to hear about the accident. Depending on the extent of the damage you might want to have the body shop total it and start with a new tt cab. This type of a car will have diminished value.
any ways i am glad you are ok, and hope that everything will fair in your favor. It was a beutiful car

Mike, I'm so sorry!! I'm glad to hear that neither party was badly hurt. I have been there, and it's tough!! Our cars are our passions...it's hard at times not to get angry in situations such as these. Having been through this before with the insurance company and fighting for diminished value, if I can lend a hand as far as advice is concerned...please do not hesitate to PM me.

and sorry for the damage on your car.
