First dyno and improved 60-130
... and last day out this year
improved a bit 60-130 to 5.78 (5.023 100-200) @1.65bar on pump+100meth, still a lot left on the table on racegas for next year
The above numbers were done on stock rims, heavy 315/30 R888, full tank of gas and the granny stock shifter
wanted to check the power level for these runs and here we are:
-SuperFlow 800 Series Chassis Dyno
-only 3rd gear pulls, dont know if 4th gear would show more hp...
-RWD
i have graph now just for the 4th and final run, ... dont remeber exactly the power levels for first 3 runs but they were like :
0.90 bar - 540hp
1.25-1.3 bar - 660 hp
1.60 bar - 794 hp
1.65 bar - 816 hp (around 740 whp) / 905nm(667ftlbs)
*boost was checked on greddy only
dont know how low/high this dyno reads compared to dynojets or mustangs or others (the shop owner says for "dynojet hp" i should add like 10%), but i am sure on racegas we can get 900hp on this dyno, according to my calculations 1.8-1.85bar should do the job

I need these power figures too

you need some good turbos lol

Thank you all guys!
Tomorrow I will go to a new dyno session, will use the latest tune I run with lower timing, but more boost.. I hope 911tuning will have to do some rebranding to their ski850 package, dyno will be Superflow800
I will mix pump94+ms109+Meth... 1.85 to 2 bar of boost, I wonder if 4th gear dyno will read more than 3rd gear...
Compared to last time we changed:
- lower timing tune;
- TB + Plenum to 82mm from 996tt stock;
- Tires MT ET Streets on stock rims instead of smaller R888 on lighter OZs;
- Ambient temp will be like 10C more;
I'll post the results here soon

Last year I had a very aggressive tune, lots of timing both on mid and high rpms and to be honest I have been very satisfied with this tune, I was able to cut consistent 5.7s 60-130 without any brake boosting, wot shifting, decline or any other tricks on mid boost 1.6-1.7bar
After some time I wanted more as we all do... I raised boost slowly and logged everything, iginition retard appeared at 1.8bar or a bit less... and as race gas is really expensive here, i was looking to solve the problem. First thing that came into my mind was to switch to a lower timing map and try higher boost, a week later I had my new file ready and I was able to cut 1.85 to 1.9 bar without any timing retard and everything.. consistent 5.6-5.7 sec 60-130 at this boost level, car felt even faster and more responsive... I expected to be like 50hp more than 1.7bar on old tune
One night I tried a few 60-130 and managed a 5.44s but... brake boosting, flat shifting, decline, etc .. almost perfect conditions, 19-20C ambient, that moment I knew I was looking at more hp than before... but I was wrong....
I recommended some guys here on the forums to go lower timing and higher boost... I wanst right or wrong, it depends, but to be honest I was expecting lime 20-30hp less boost for boost @1.6-1.8bar levels, let's see exactly what I did....
So I got my car on the dyno
last year : fuel(94 octane + 100% meth); Temps 0Celsius; Dry
today : fuel(30% 94 octane; 70% MS109; 100%meth); 14C; Humid a bit
91octane+meth tune (i will call this from now on pump tune)
- 0.8xbar no meth - 524hp compared to 538 before last year on race tune...
- 1.31 bar with meth - 626 hp compared to 660 @1.28 before... oops...
- 1.85 bar directly to smash the 816hp i had before @1.65bar and....just 809, but 952 Nm compared to 905 Nm before... I was hoping for 860-870 at this boost level... and I was seeing less than before witb .2bar less... wtf ????!!?!
- 1.97 bar glory run and.... 831hp/929Nm...hmmmm.... I said let's try the 1.65-1.7bar as I ran before and got 816/905 so next run ..
- 1.65bar was 746/905... so exactly the same max torque but 70hp less !!!!!!!! 70 !!!!!
Do you know what I did ? I reflashed my old tune, the more aggressive one... and started again (i will call this race tune from now on)
0.8 bar was quite marginal gain 530hp from 524 pump tune and 538 last year
1.82 bar 850/973 ... started to sound good... +41hp compared to pump tune
1.95 bar - about 890 hp and 1000 Nm, so +60Hp and 75-80Nm...
I said what the hell, let's push it once to 2+bar....2.05bar - 905.5Hp and 1008 Nm.. but realised that I was limited by EBC...so I raised the boost limit to 2.15bar, prayed to all Gods and WOT again...
2.13bar/30psi was the peak boost on greddy(not sustained... maybe 0.05-0.1 bar less sustained or so) result was
916.2 HP and 1013 Nm
Bingo !!!!!
I did an overlay of my old best result last year and this result... 1.65bar vs 2.1bar... The area difference under the curve is huge imo.. Turbos are at their limit i suppose and loose efficiency above 1.8bar or so, maybe I have to reinforce also WGs, but considering an almost stock engine besides rods and studs paired with these very good turbos I think is quite a good result, take into consideration that Superflow 800 dyno reads 10% less than dynojet to have an idea.
Markski thanks for these turbos, I can use my car both on the racetrack and on straights, hint for your new package, ski 950 or ski1000 if you like more dynojet figures
I might do some serious upgrades to my car or just buy also a GTR and do less, will see about that, for now I'm happy with what I run and if weather will allow me to do some 60-130 runs, will be hunting 4s
I think these results will help a lot all the guys running meth on pump, I thought things were a bit different, but the gain is there.
PS: Mike & Dynamic gt2 mea culpa, I WAS WRONG !!! I love my 91meth file, but I will never try to brake any personal record again with that file

Sunteți un om brillaint Fadi

Multumesc Andrew! Brilliant is what you did with you car, if I knew that a few years ago...
Thanks Andreas !
A small update, I did just 4 runs to try the new settings/boost, quite the same idea as before, tried 100-200kmh and 60-130mph, I encountered a big problem with my shifter (something just got loose there and is much worse than a stock shifter), and i wasnt able to do some proper shifts and also traction was a big problem... Used the MT ET Streets but there were just 6C temps outside, I tried the same setting on the EBC and saw a peak boost of 2.1bar/30psi; fuel was 65% MS109 and 35% pump94 + 100% meth
So only 4 runs
First try 4.7 (100-200) / 5.4 (60-130) / flat (-0.3%) / with pass, easy shift, etc
2nd run 4.6 (100-200) / 5.3 (60-130) / flat (-0.08%) / alone
3rd run 4.6 / 5.3 over 3% slope and result invalid
4th and last run was a -2.971% slope !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
, pretty bad shift and still some tricks left on the table, but was satisfied enough for tonight100-200 time was 4.32s
60-130 time was 4.97s
I will send the data to Mike to get verified
60-100mph times were 2.2-2.3 seconds

finaly hit the 4sec!congrat Fadi :-) look like you found the perfect 3% slope to hit your goal!6 deg temp def help to and still you say theres left on the table so maybe 4,7-4,8 possible like i told you
Thanks Andreas !
