Blew one of the top hoses a couple of weeks ago and just replaced both of them. These are the ones located on top of the motor and are pretty easy to access. My question is are these hoses just retained by the metal clips or were they glued from the factory as well? I know all about the coolant hose issues on these cars and am trying to see if I need to take additional steps here. I just pressed them in to the metal clips...

 

No glue! Only the metal clips to hold the hoses. When the clips are in place on the new hoses, you press the hoses in and you will hear a click that's mean the clips are secured. The o-rings on the hoses can be lubricated with coolant.

 

That's what I did and thanks. Had a moment of "uh oh..."
