ESK - You're right about me being the perfect candidate for a TT cab. I don't have room for another car, though, and am not ready to part with any present cars. Still really enjoying them!

Watt - great perspective. You really don't know how many years or days you have. Don't put things off that you really want to do. I got a good dose of this philosophy when I had quintuple bypass surgery earlier this year!

Reminds me of the Bentley I saw in Palm Desert a few years ago with license plate frame that said " I'm spending my grandkids inheritance "

No Tip here, just have to get specially tailored pants. My left leg pant is 5feet wide, my right leg pant only 1 foot wide. And my right arm is HUGE, however, I can't tell if its from the 12 oz curls or the shifting

If you don't mind the rough ride & tire noise, 996TT is great for daily driver.

I've pretty much gotten over the rough ride and tire noise. I'm using RUF coilovers and find the ride better than stock! First recommended mod!

I may be jaded by my M3 cab, but I did not find the TT rough or tire noise that loud in a recent test drive. It clearly is glued to the ground and I found the ride firm but not overly harsh. As for tire noise, I was too busy listening to the exhaust sound and working the smooth shifter that made my M3 transmission feel more like stirring rocks in a bowl.

I bought the tt because the Lambo just doesn't make it as a daiily driver, and the Lambo awas too old for the track. Great fun, NOT a daily driver.

Smile

Mine is a daily driver in Washington DC.The clutch is soft and grabs smoothly and without effort. The shifter is precise and getting to be a child's play .The car behaves well in stop and go traffic without suffocating.Vario-cam plus .No wonder Car magazine rates it the BEST CAR IN THE WORLD ahead of the ENZO and Gallardo. Use it enjoy it...
