Can anyone explain what range 1 & 2 are?

I had a PPI done on a car that I'm planning on picking up Friday.
The inspection came back with

Number of ignitions, range 1 10690 374.4 h
Number of ignitions, range 2 35 322.1 h

What does this mean, and is it anything to be worried about?

Thanks for any information you can share,
Dan

range 1 is when the car goes over its redline (6700), or when its bouncing off the limiter.
range 2 is when you downshift and end up past 6700.

juut about everyone on here has a chipped car. don't pay attention to those #'s. they mean nothing.

Range 1 is above 6750 rpm and range 2 is above 6950 rpm…
the last range 2 was done at 322.1 hours and the last range 1 was at 374.4 hours….

These numbers are sparks after the limits. So 35 sparks (if this is the only over rev 2) at 6950 means : you got three sparks per rotation on our engine, at 6950 rpm you got 6950/60=115.83 sparks per second…That mean 35 sparks were within .331 second….

Not bad numbers imho…..

This car seems to be really new? 374 hours mean about 11200 miles! If the last over rev was not long time ago….

Thank you for the response, that really helped me understand what I was looking at.

Those numbers are all meaningless on anything but a stock car because every flashed car will have a raised redline cutoff. My car has 30000+ type 1s and 3000+ type 2s. Zero issues....
