Best Deals on Cabs........

I have narrowed my search down on a cabs to either 996 cab or an sl55. I drove the regular sl500 and it was a pig. The best deal I have found on an 04 is 10k of list. Suncoast is offering me 15k of a 2003. Thoughts and ideas?

Duane, I think 10k off an 04 is a good deal, I saw 03s at my dealer go out for less than that off sticker in Aug, especially if you can order the car to your spec, looks like you will have 3 996s.

Not to say anything against Porsche, but I would take the SL55 AMG over a regular 669 Cab. Why dont you put your name down for a 360 spyder or a Gallardo spyder. Having 2 porsches and a Benz, I think you might need a change in automakers.

WOW, I never knew Porsche came out with a 6 series. Only kidding !

I have to just say that the current market on a 360 Spyder is approx $225k, and a Gallardo lists for approx $175k, thats a whole new price bracket compared to the cars Duane is looking into.

Ooops, I meant a 996, sorry, I am cixelsyD.

Yeah, your right, there are not than many convertibles in the SL55 AMG's price range. Maybe a DB7 or a Panoz. I know it will be more, but I believe that the Bentley GT cab will look nice when it comes out. Do you have an '03 CL55 or the older one?

Jas the GT3 is sold. The 10k is on a car that is on stock. Polar, metropol with blue top

Mehrabani I have a 2003 cl55 with 493 HP and 516 Torque. Its a beast. The spyder is way more than I want to spend right now.

Does anyone know of a Ferrari dealer with a reasonable wait list for a 360 Spyder at MSRP (or future replacement)?

Miller Motorcars (Ferrari of Greenwich) is taking orders on the 420 Monza and (the possible) 400 Modena.

Duane,
May I ask why you sold the GT3? That cab you say thats in stock sounds like a nice combo.

Bigsky,
Not to rain on your parade, but chances of you getting a 360 spider at MSRP probably wont happen, you will have to wait for the replacement of the 360 and then pick up one used.

mehrabani1,
Miller Motorcars is a great dealership but tends to have long lists on cars for his loyal customers.

Jas when it came down to it the GT3 just did not excite me the way the TT does. You have to wind it out in every gear to really appreciate it. I think if I spent a ton of time on the track then it would be a different story. I am used to over 600lbs of torque in my car and to me thats what the Gt3 is lacking.

then you probably wouldn't dig the 360 spider anyway.

suggestion: pick up a 2002 996 cab. you'll save a fortune given how fast they depreciate and you'll still have a warranty and so on and so on.

i had a 996TT and C2 Cab at the same time - never drove the damn Cab - way too underpowered by comparison. i'm a torque **** .

doody.

Aren't the TT Cab and SL55 cab in the same price range? The 996 Cab is $30k cheaper. I would think the SL55 would be close to $120k no?? Why not get a Turbo Cab, or am I missing something??

from what i see Daune - you can pick up a sl55 with 5k miles for 112k or so where as a TT cab with a few miles is still 15k more - depends what you want - you will either have 2 benzs or 2 porsches now you have the cl55 and the TT and your not getting rid of one are you?
