Reading Durametric Programming....
Looking at a Porsche and I asked to confirm the mileage. Was sent a pic of the Durametric Programming and need help reading the data. Sent an email to a local Indy Porsche shop but thought maybe someone here can also clarify. Trying to determine what the two over rev data is showing, what do those two numbers show? Thanks!
i have actually never seen that screen in durametric

I'm guessing that's not an actual durametric program, but moreso a shop tuning / reading program.
Interesting nonetheless.
I'd really like to see if it actually lets you over-write the rev counts though. I've seen similar things that have the button there but don't let the program actually do anything as prodigymb suggests, but there are also cases where it will actually let you change mileage etc (obviously illegal, but such programming does exists -> click here ).
I take it the car you're referencing is tuned? That'd be the only way I could imagine that many Rev1 / Rev 2 as some tunes raise the rev limit slightly, but the Rev 1 / Rev 2 don't adjust accordingly.

That's a huge number of type 2 over revs. Each "over rev" is a spark ignition. 6 sparks per two revs of the crank means like 3400 revolutions above type 1 over rev. That's like 30 seconds above 7000 rpm. All the rev's, both type 1 and type 2 occurred at the same incident.
On a completely stock car type 1 over revs can be achieved at will in upshifts. Type 2 over rev are usually also upshift, not down shifts. With this read out, you don't have any major issues to worry about, except a stressed clutch. If you put a tune on the car, then you'll have tons of type one and two upshifts and even type three upshift depending on the tune.

it says 'this function allows you to modify the engine abuse information' that sounds sketchy as hell, if it says that right on the screen then i would assume its possible do that, why would it say it if it isnt possible
