Anybody know any details about Tubi exhaust for Turbo....

I had a couple questions regarding the Tubi Exhaust for the 911 Turbo. I cannot find any information anywhere. What cell cats do they use? How much does the exhaust weigh? What hp and torque gains do they claim and do they have dyno results to back up their claims. How does it sound and where can I listen to it either in person(near chicago) or video or sound clips. I would like to hear how it sounds at WOT, Cold Start, Slow pass, and say 2-3 shift. Any and all help is very appreciated.

Lou, A guy at our dealer has the Tubi on his TT, Champion had to send him 2 replacement systems because they kept tripping off sensors, I dont know anything really about the system but I found the sound to dissapointing, we put a Fabspeed on the Turbo and its been good so far and sounds great.

I thought I heard a sound clip of a tubi on a 911, thought it sounded a bit ricer/fart cannish, IMHO

I don't know what kind of power it makes, but I heard it and it sounds horrible!! It sounded almost like a Ricer. I would listen to it first before buying it. You can probably find a better exhaust for the same price.

I was wondering the same thing about the Tubi. So what you are saying is the Fabspeed is a much better exhaust in quality and sound.

Z06J,
The Fabspeed is 100% better sounding IMO, the Tubi was fully assembled when I saw it come out the box, the Fabspeed has to be assembled which is ok its simple.

Tony,
You sure you heard the Tubi, I didnt think it had much sound over a stock TT at all.

It wasn't really loud. It was just raspy like a Honda Civic with a big fat muffler. The Fabspeed sounds way better in my opinion.

I agree
My friend in Boston has it on his 02 and one of his cats has failed and CEL is on - waiting for replacement...
It is not loud enough IMO
Also, my dad has it om his 02 here with GIAC level2...I heard performance wise tubi is not that great.
I believe they use 100 cell cats...

Apparently, and I am not an expert here, but, someone at Cargraphic told me that the reason they switched to 200 cell cats was for the reason you are talking about. They told me point blank, 100 cell cats trip the sensors and check engine lights will come on. This is true with any manufacturer who uses 100 cell cats. Just passing on info though, so if anyone knows more, please let us know.

I also heard the first Tubi was built poorly and had problems. I have heard though that all the problems are fixed in the new model and that it is a decent exhaust. I heard a sound clip, but, the car was stantionary and I wanted more data. It sounded pretty good. FWIW, I do not like how the Fabspeed sounds at all, sounds like a very sick semi truck to me from the outside and the drone on the inside makes me want to put a gun to my head. But anyway, different strokes for different folks I guess.

Doesn't RUF and Europipe use 100 cell kats??? I know a lot of people with those exhausts and they don't trip the CEL light. I have the Europipe Stage II and I don't get any CEL lights.

Mansour, any way you can post some vid of your father's car at cold start, passing by, and at WOT?

Chris,

That is exactly what I said to the Cargraphic retailer I dealt with. That's why I posted, I was wondering if anyone else experinced the "alleged problem" Oh, almost forgot, they also "claimed" that the ones that didn't trip the computer were not really using 100 cell cats.
