i've read that thanks, and now have some sense of that. but it is "half" on? i.e. "less" sensitive and prone to activation with button psm off/psm disabled than might be otherwise if left untouched? eg psm "on"??

i ask, as i have no plan at this stage to disable the pump, per se. just eliminate the axle/and diff,.. and while the car has seen it's track days, though not with me ( we try not to talk about her past lol ) i won't be going "tracking" anytime soon, as i live on a socal version of pikes peak, and that's my set of daily roads.

you are very clear and helpful, as i'm just learning this aspect of how it all works. thx again!

add: one more ?

given that i get that psm is a poor facsimile of a proper lsd.. and it does readily activate going downhill more frequently than any uphill condition..wouldn't the lsd be best felt/noticed in conditions such as hard accel uphill, while keeping more power to the wheel with less traction, in a way that psm can NOT!? esp uphill? as that's when i want most power to the wheel with the least traction? i would think..
hope i'm not making this more complicated..
