To get 140 mph you need a gr30r with a .82 hot side , external wgs , big ics and all the plumbing open , a minimum on 104 octane if not not higher and 1.6 bar.
It's really not that easy. An alpha 30r traps 137 max.

I agree with needing GT30rs for 140 traps,BUT 137mph max on Alpha 30r's? I was trapping 133mph with plain old non billet 16/16's and 137mph with non billet 24/18's both at 1.4 bar.

16/16's 10.70 at 133mph MS109 1.45bar

16/16's 10.79 at 133mph MS109 1.45bar

24/18's 10.6 at 137mph MS109 and 1.45 bar

With the advent of ProEfi and Syvecs + e85 you are gonna see some hellacious
times at the strip over the next year or so. I don't think you need big crazy
turbos for anything but the mile. I've been beating big turbo times with little
turbos for over a year now. Chris Green ran low 9s at 156 with 800ish to the
wheels. He destroyed every 1000+ whp car on 6 speed and elsewhere. He's
just a few ticks from beating evos car and it's a ridiculous flat out race car that's
really not steetable. Chris's car is a true daily driver. **** I drive my car daily....
when it's not in the shop lol.

But that Turbo was an Auto. How would a manual do?

In the 10.6 vid it doesn't look like it even launched that hard. It's all about the shifting. I'll be in the garage practicing

He would have done better with a 6 mt. The tip was actually a tad slower than the
mt.

Not true.Thats because the small turbo Porsches are easier to drive at the strip.I will tell you that if you roll race any of the small turbo Porsches vs the big turbo porsches the small turbo porsches ail get embarrassed.Chris's car runs real good and he is an excellent driver from what i have seen but Evoms car and his car are two different animals. There is nearly a 20mph difference in the 1/4.I just think you haven't seen somebody crazy enough to beat the hell out of one of the bigger 1300 hp porsches at the strip to get a good time.I will tell you that a gt30 turbo porsche would have a tough time at TI or tx2k.

What MT are you comparing it to? The vids are of the same auto 996TT. Show me a manual K16/16G non billet doing mid 10's.

HI,I would think,as in most drag racing, when Torque that is put down faster and harder in the lower RPMs, thus smaller turbos, would make it harder to 60' because of traction and chasiss issues of it those coming on stronger.. Plus ET, the whole package counts, will win the race over MPH at the drag strip....
I thought we all are crazy to build and then try to beat the hell out of our cars at the strip to get the most of our mods?.
Just saying...

I find it harder to drag race a 1300 whp /1100 lb ft car than a 800 whp/750lb ft car but thats just me.I also find if the car makes a lot of torque right off idle and can be launched out of the hole at 3k instead of 5k easier but that is also just me.Yes we are all crazy….
