If you were to look at my car, other than the fact it is lower than stock and has a slightly louder exhaust you would have no idea it is packing 635 rwhp. Is there such a thing as a sleeper 996 turbo?

I kind of like this, no flashy bodywork or fancy wheels. Just a plain jane 996 tt. I am actually starting to like the factory look because so many people have changed their cars mine is starting to look unique!

Anyway just some misc. ramblings.

 

Take off the stickers (they were just for the shootout) and this is what my car looks like today. It is actually sitting higher now like GT2 spec.

I do agree with you Buddy that the stock looking 996 turbo looks great as is. It's really cool to see a stock looking car crancking out massive amounts of power without advertising the fact that it is, anything, but stock.

 

Sleeper with or without the stage 5 stickers.

Sleeper 996TT. Are you kidding? Only to other 996TT owners. For the rest...the Turbo is NO Sleeper!

 

I agree with Wross996TT. There is nothing sleepy about a 996TT. Now if you took a narrow body C2 and made that kind of power, that would be a sleeper.

Unfortunately there is nothing subtle about our cars.. from the BIG *** to the massive tires, dual exhaust, and more air scoops than any other car out there...

 

When i just read the title to this thread, and didn't realize you wrote it, i was gonna say that Buddyg's car is a true sleeper. So I guess you know the answer to your question. Your car is trully badass, and a true sleeper. But I guess it doesn't matter if you've got a 944, a Boxster or Turbo. A Porsche can never really be a sleeper next to other cars on the road, only in the relative term when compared to other Turbo etc.

I guess I was thinking more along the lines of a Viper, Lambo, Ferrari or modified car. They could roll up to my "sleeper" thinking oh he only has 415hp I can blow his doors off!

Yeahy Buddyg - You would OWN all those cars.. in that respect, it is a sleeper...

 

I think the sound that comes out of your car alone will tell anyone your car it is not a sleeper. On top of that, w/ the todays blingers, a set of rims and a body kit most likely don't signify the car is not stock as far as the motor goes.
