Just got a silver key surround for the dashboard. How do you remove and replace the old one? Thanks in advance

It simply comes off with a gentle thug. Careful not to push to hard with the new one. You may shatter the coating if you use the gorilla method

 

You really have to be careful or the coating will crack. I installed mine by getting it lined up the way I wanted and used a small screwdriver with a cloth wrapped around and pushed the lip directly in. If you twist it at all it cracks. Guess how I found that out

 

Thanks guys for your help just installed and it looks great probably also would have screwed it up. Bat wings next
