Guys im useless at finding old threads, Im sure Ive seen a thread on here about removing the detent and spring and placing a ball bearing between the spring and detent to prevent 2nd gear pop out, can anyone post a link if they know what im on about? I recall the ball bearing was actually a porsche part number. Thanks

Ive just bought the CMS kit as well as the billet cover and new bearings Ive asked CMS if its worth doing the detent mod as well.

From what tim posted if you use the cms kit and install it properly nothing else is needed

 

CMS used to supply a spacer in their kit that would do the same as the ball bearing in thread and beef the shift up, I have mailed and asked their opinion.
